Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is a great venue for winter sun climbing with masses amount of rock to climb on in all grades.

Stay:  Villas on the outskirts of Benidorm, Altea or Calpe and cheap apartments in Benidorm!!! There is also Hotel option at good prices during the winter months, or if on your own and want to hook up with other climbers there is the Orange House.

Climb:
Crags with many routes in the grade range 4 to 6a:
Sierra de Toix,  Sella, Echo Valley, Alcalali, Guadalest and Font d’Axia.
Same for harder grades plus Olta, Altea and Pinos.

Must Do:
One of the routes on the Penon de Ifach. esp Diedro UBSA 5c or Costa Blanca 6c

Walk:  
There are a number of walks, ridges and Via Ferrata in the area.

Transport:
Flights on the budget airlines to Alicante after adding 15-20kg luggage is around the £120 mark.   A car is definitely required and there are lots of car hire companies at Alicante airport. The drive to Benidorm on the Toll motorway (€3) is about 40 mins passing the peak of Puig Campana on the way.
